UPDATE: Bike drop = Price drop. Dent in gas tank small scraches on rear tail fairing, windscreen, mirrors, small tear in rear seat. Sides and front are perfect. Really not that bad at all. Still looks in great condition! First $5000 gets it.

Hello IMPORTATLANTA!

The time has come to let my baby go lol. Actually, I am really just testing waters to see the gauges of interest towards this bike. I just dont have time to ride it as much as i want to, so its kind of pointless to keep holding on to it. This bike has never given me any problems, whatsoever, which is why if i dont get the right price, i will hold on to it. I GAURANTEE you will not find another R6 this clean, and in this good of condition, cosmetically, mechanically, and every aspect you can think of. The pictures that i have posted doesn't event do justice. If you arte truly interested, you will just have to look at it in person and see for yourself.

HISTORY:
I traded my 2002 Acura RSX Type-S for it about a year and a half ago for this bike. I am the third owner of the bike, me being the third. The second owner (whom i traded with) only had it for a few months, couple hundred miles. The first owner was a yamaha tech and was the one who did ALL of the mods (except HID's from muah), so you can be assured everything was done accordingly to specs, and was in good hands. No part on the bike has ever touched the ground except the tires. NEVER laid down. It has been garaged since day one. I wash it once a week on Saturday (on the weeks that i ride it), and never let it sit dirty. I detail for Mecedes-Benz, and kind of made it a habit to just ride it up to my work and clean it when I'm bored at work, which happens ALOT. The paint is my favorite part of the bike. CANDY APPLE RED! It looks so rich in the sunlight, and isn't named that for nothing. It really does look like a melting jolly rancher or something. By far the best painted anything i have EVER owned, and I kept it that way. As for upkeep and maintenance; I changed the oil every 2500 miles with YAMALUBE. The mileage on my speedo is like 11k or so right now, but hear this...Since it has aftermarket sprockets on it (details below in MODS), the gearing is a little shorter. So the speedo is off. I dont know the exact % but it is like 7-11%. So where i am getting is that it is actaully racking up more miles than you are actually riding. It PERSONALLY doesn't bother me, and i got used to it extremely fast. This problem is perfectly normal for anyone who has tampered with the sprockets/gearing on their bikes, which is a whole lot lol. All that is needed, but i have been cheap and didn't want to buy, is a speedohealer. They are only about $100 and can be found on ebay or virtually any bike store. They are a plug and play, enter your bike specs, blah, blah, blah, into system, and it converts the correct speed and everthing.

nice bike but that exhaust is killing what little torque/power it has

I dont know about that. Well, atleast with the sprockets i have, still faster than other 600s and sounds better at the same time

Actually the cage is there, because they offer the best protection. better than little frame sliders. They are not cheap either, or else everyone would probably have them. And for the sprockets, onebadgt was correct. this is no extreme stunt bike. It simply has 1 tooth less on front sprocket and two added teeth to the rear. It makes for better acceleration, adding low end. For me, it just made everyday riding easier to cruise around without getting into it. Also, if you don't already know, Yamaha's lack bottem end or torque from the factory, but have the most wicked top end. This mod pretty much evened the bike out and has the best of both worlds now, lowend to mid to topend. I would rather ride this gearing setup than factory anyday, and if you do some research, you will find the same to be true for MANY others.

This thing will lay down in the twisties just like every other bike, cage does not affect anything. Just there for protection, really good protection...

did that cage require any cutting of the fairings to mount?

Nope. That's the good the about the brand I have. It bolts up directly to the frame on both sides. I've seen what your talking about where some cages you have to cut circles out where the black shroud is to get behind it to the frame. Actually, my brother has an 09 r6 with one of them cages. Ugly IMO.

why didnt you go with the freestyle Ingenuity cage or maybe some race rails for its slim to the bdy style compared to the cage you have on now. I actually have a stunt bike myself with a cage, geating, idle screw , clip ons , scrape bar and some other mods. end of the day your bike looks good and these are only my thoughts. if you ever wanna come ride holla at me

First off... That ZX looks like Anthonys and my old bike.

And how do you like the cage for everyday riding? I wanted to get the Racing 905 cage but my buddy has one on his 1000rr and you just have to have riding boots on to ride it because your shins rubs against the cage. Do you have to wear full boots to comfortably ride it, or does the cage not come near your shins? I'd love to get a cage for my RR but just I never ride full boots.

Thanks...

Bump for a great price too. 5k for this is a steal.

I don't know who had bike before me. I could look at his name on my bill of sale. As for the cage, I love it and it is perfect for everyday riding ad it is nowhere near your shins and you don't have to hack your bike up for install. Someone buy this thing. I found a car I want to buy. Make me an offer.

Yes in the pics they are taken off. Actually, when I bought the bike they weren't on the bike. I bought new oem ones and they are now on the bike.
