just curious but out of the full set which pics did you like the most? I personally love the mazda speed 3 pics.

Boring, over-played scenery, man. Don't call parking in a parking garage and taking pictures a photoshoot, lolol.

I can't comment positively on the quality, but I can encourage you to keep practicing, though, dude. You'll get the hang of it. I imagine there is a lot to learn with SLR cameras. I look forward to seeing your progression. Later, QD.

i like the 1st shot, but like he said parking garage is played, however I thought the last shot was creative, tho the car in the background should've been sexier

like qd said, just keep shooting and you will learn from just doing it. i learned all of my stuff by just doing it. one thing, always turn the wheel facing the camera. here is a friend of mine's car i shot a few months ago.

oh snap I just noticed that the mods deleted the link to the full set of the pictures I took. the ones that are attached were just a preview. I didn't want to have to create a photobucket or similar just to link img tags to one by one show all the pics, but I guess I'll have to since I can't post links.

got that right... it's all I had to work with... I'd rather take some pics, than none.

true..as a viewer, I have come to the conclusion that most of my favorite pictures arent from the best photgraphers, its the ones with the best eye. And likewise there are alot of photographers with good eyes and no skills behind the lens.

alot of your pictures are off with the vision too much open space too much to look at and hard to focus on what you are trying to capture.

and the height of the pictures are boring, it seems like you are standing at your normal height, which doesnt give the picture any interesting point of view. These are relatively stock cars, so the height you are taking the pictures at makes it look like a dealership pic. My suggestion is to find elevation, and manipulate it. Make the elevation just as important as the exposure/white balance and everything else. And show point of views that give us a special perspective that we normally cant capture just by looking at a car.

and the wheels are turned in a bad way that kills the picture. Wheels make or break the car in a picture, the tire shouldnt be shown when the wheel is turned..for the most part.

Pictures are too cool, they have a blueish tint over all of them. Which maybe from your post processing.. but they need some warmth to them!

im not a photographer...so all that is from a lookers perspective. The key to learning photography i think is to find your style and and learn how to get what your going for from other photographers, and dont be stubborn like blacknightteg...listen to your criticism!

Oh i love the constructive criticism. It helps develop my technique and find my style faster. I learned a lot just from this set on my mistakes and I'll try and correct them for my next shooting session this saturday at a midnight run.

Rx8 looks pretty fast! I like the wing, it flows well with the car. it would look way better without the vinyls and different wheels and windshield banner. So I guess the only thing I like is the wing, and I guess it's not fast either. shucks...
