It's only online now. For some reason they decided to simulcast 750 AM and move 955 to online only, which kind of sucks even though I didn't listen to it that often.

It was ok when it wasnt playing everything over and over again but still it was something with a little of everything to listen to :(

Yep, it was good to listen every now and then. I liked to listen sometimes when they were live with the club nights.

They are both owned by the same company, Cox Communications. They weren't bought out, just a programming change to make more money on advertising basically.

105.5 The Groove is basically the replacement of 95.5, except they do play a lot of 80's R&B which is the reason why I listen to it

105.7, they play some good stuff too. More mix than 95 with the older stuff mixed in.

This is good news, actually. The only station worse than 95.5 is 94.9 (country music). Later, QD.

Yeah who cares it really kinda sucked anyways! They played the same songs over and over it really ruined some songs and rappers for me like little wayne! Is there one remix they played on 95.5 that did not have little wayne on it? Not to mention the djs sucked had no personaity what so ever!

They played the same songs over and over ...

They never strayed from that format either. I remember when it first came on the air. I checked it out, but within a week, realized they were playing every song about 10 times a day. They've always been a "broken record" radio station. Later, QD.

They are trying to re-educate the youth, cause the beat made everyone stupid from all the dumbass rap shit they played.

I hated 95.5 the Beat. Over playing too much stuff. 97.1 The River for me (or my back ups 94.9 or 101.5).

97.1 The River for me (or my back ups 94.9 or 101.5).

My top station (just ahead of 97.1) is True Oldies 106.7. Great 50's, 60's, 70's and early 80's. And nothing else. Rock, R&B, soul and all.

It's not a rap station. It's an urban station playing all forms of black artists from rap to soul to R&B.

I listened to Album 88 back when I went to Georgia State. Later, QD.

I was raised on that genre of music, so dont be surprised if you see a black guy in a evo bumping some Marvin Gaye. I just wish mid 80's to early 90's rap had their own radio station

I wouldn't be surprised at all, lolol. The thing I find humor in, sometimes, is when I'm pulling up to a store and I have Clarence Carter or Gil-Scot Heron playing. Older black folks will turn around about to enjoy themselves and they see a white dude behind the wheel. The look is funny.

Only on satellite radio will you find that.

NO! My highpoint (radio wise) was in the mid to late 80's and only on Friday nights between 8pm and 12pm on V-103 when they had The V-103 Fresh Party. Nothing but rap (new then/old now) only. Later, QD.

That's funny, because when I heard Boortz talking about how they're broadcasting today through both AM 750 and 95.5 I immediately changed it to 95.5 because the area I was in was getting alot of static. They play alot more clear. I didn't care for the beat anyways so it didn't bother me not in the slightest bit. It just made enjoying Clark and Neil that much better because my AM antenna is no longer hooked up to my radio (back glass antenna). I think I'm gonna modify the fitting to make it the stock antenna....
