Okay, so I traded my old 95' civic for a 92' civic lx last Saturday. Upon teat driving the car it drove perfect & perfect on the way home. Then Monday it started this accelerating crap making the car bog down at normal temperature (making me believe I had put bad gas in it) it did this twice that day. I would say it did it around 1500 rpm then bogged down & caught & took off fine. Tuesday it did the samething. On wednesday I filled the car up from an "E-Full". It ran fine. So I checked the spark plugs & 3 were NGK & 1 was Bosch Platnum. So I immediately ran to the parts store, bought 4 new NGK plugs & seafoam to clear out all the carbon build up & swapped out the old plugs for new plugs after I ran seafoam thru the system using my brake boost vacuum (partsguy told me to run it that way because it's a direct feed into the motor instead of deluding it through gas). After all that the car ran nice & strong, no bog or nothing. Then yesterday (thursday) it started to bog again more than 2 times when accelerating from. Complete stop. The car has a stock sohc zc swap with short ram intake if that matters. And it also had a new fuel pump put it when the swap was done back in March....

What can it be? Would a bad fuel filter cause it to bog down or could be bad injectors? The gas lines appear to be fine no kinks, etc (but I'm not ruling thY possibility out).

Any & all advice will be greatly appreciated to get this problem resolved.

Thanks IA

could be sparkwires, moisture in the dizzy, bad fuel filter, clogged injectors, thats about alll i can think of

Also could be intermittent sensor problem, i.e. Map sensor, tps sensor. I would try fuel filter first. Inexpnsive and if it looks old means it probably need replacing. Only way to tell for sure is to start taking fuel pressure readings and electrical readings. It's a whole number of things it could be

that how my car was about a week ago. what i did was took off the fuel tank and clean the whole tank, then put a new strainer. It haven't been bogging on me ever since.

So after reading up on the "effects of a bad fuel filter" from another forum 1 guy says "bogging/car running like shit" & bad gas mileage. I'm getting that so I will be going to to the parts store today & replacing the fuel filter & see how it does.

I'm still not ruling out the possibility for moisture in the dizzy, bad injectors.... How can a bad Map Sensor or TPS Sensor cause the bogging?

maybe the tps sensor

Because if the tps is bad the PCM does not know how much throttle is being opened up and in turn does not know how much fuel to inject properly. So you get an ultimate "misfire" which would cause bogging. A map sensor is sort of the same situation except it measures pressure in the intake manifold not throttle percentage. Although I highly doubt these are your problems since there are no cel to my knowledge.

Yeah I have no "CEL" on, unless the previous owner tampered with the plug on the back side of the cluster & disconnected it. I bought a new fuel filter for it today, just haven't had the time to swap it out yet or check to see if the "CEL" has been disconnected.

So I haven't posted in a few days since I replaced my fuel filter. I'm still getting the "bogging" but it's not as bad. Could a bad catalytic converter be causing this "bog" that I'm getting. I've got an exhaust leak & it sounds like it's coming from around the cat & my heat sheild rattles like hell while the car idles. And I can feel like a slight rob of power when driving.

Please Help. This is getting on my damn nerves.

I had the same issue and it was because of a bad injector.

I will check the injectors out.
