Ok so here's the deal. Back in january I bought a competition clutch and flywheel for my civic ex sohc. Once the transmission was off the guy told me it was bad but he had one which was from an lx. He put that one in and the clutch and everything. Cars was ok for a couple months but the transmission had a 3rd gear grind. Recently(like past month or so) it started acting weird. When stopped at a light the gears wouldn't go in or would b really hard. And then I also realized that when that started happening gears would go in while driving with out clutch. Just in the last week I was stopped at a light and had it in gear and the car went foward hard then stalled out. 1st wouldn't come out so I tried to turn it on while in gear and as soon as I did the car would go forward like the clutch was stuck. While driving it like that In any rpms I would push the clutch and rpms would stay the same. That eventually went away but today it did the same. I was able to get it home and I tried to push the gear in hard and it went in and made a hard grinding noise. I pulled it out quick but the clutch is not working any more. It barley pulls back and makes a grinding noise when its on. Is the clutch still good but just a bad tranny or what. The clutch only has about 5000 miles on it. Any help on what it could b is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like your clutch isn't engaging properly. Have you checked your fluids?

Not the transmission fluid but the clutch hydraulic fluid is good and I've bleed it before to see if it had air. The clutch is basically stuck now so I can't even drive it.

What about your slave cylinder....have you checked to see if it is even pushing on the clutch fork?

No idk. How do I check? I herd it could b caused from using a non vtec tranny with y8 engine?

Push on the clutch and have someone see if the clutch fork is moving side to side.

As for the combination.....false. I am using a B16 tranny on my B20 and its fine. None of that matters.

Ok ill try that later I'm not around my car right now. And that's b series transmission not d series. Idk that's wat I was told. Were is the fork at. Is it next to the valve to bleed it?

Find your slave cylinder and the clutch fork is what it pushes on to engage and disengage the clutch.

B, D, H, K....doesn't matter what series. Vtec only applies to the motor.

Either you were sold you a bad transmission or the springs on the clutch broke.
