Before you do anything at all involving an LSV build, become good friends with Google and www.honda-tech.com . You will find a lot of useful info throughout both sites. You can boost on stock rods and crank and be fine. It's all in the tuning and how your setup is built. Do research and do it right the first time.

lsv builds arent bad.
they just need to be done right.
do not drill the head to make your current dowels from your b18b1 fit into the si/gsr/type r head
use these

run proper lines and wire for your pressure switch and vtec.
i have used the kit below about 4 times, never had a problem with it. plus it is easy to go back to your original setup

torque sequences are important. if your boosting, you DO NOT want to use the same head bolts you removed. invest in a set of arp head studs. if you torque your head bolts down and the break, its a lot of wasted work or even more costly work.

also be sure and invest in ARP connecting rod bolt...will save you in the long run.
