99 si accelerator pedal stuck

ok on the way home when i floored it the pedal would not come back up. 2 times later at idles the pedal will not come up and the car revs to 8k rpm and if you turn the key off it takes it a minute to shut off. the weather is crappy here now so i cant pop the hood yet. the pedal is not still like it should be. i'm thinking the cable to look at first. if anybody has any other ideas let me know.

lube the cable the spring on the tb. and the pedal it self!

Do you know if it's your cable or the TB itself?

check where the cable hooks to the tb...happend to me before..probably just needs lube

sorry guys it was stuck open and when i posted it was raining like hell so i had to waut awhile before looking. it needed lube.

lol at the toyota joke, that is whay i thought that day too. reps to everyone thanks guys it's fixed.
