^Thank you for looking at this thread but I'm sorry I'm not in any mood for sarcasm or smart comments. You've obviously never been in this position where you see $40k of your hard earned money drives off away from you. I edited the original post, I hope that makes a bit more sense.

This is true, But i hope your insurance agent has you insured correctly. Since i have all my stuff insured for true value ( not market value) , i wouldnt loose any sleep or a dime over it. Im just saying!!! Hope you find it.

If the car was located at your lot, how would it be a total loss? Arent you insured?

Most stolen vehicle in the last 8 years ... and for LOTS of reason not easy to steal. Was NOT some1 trying to joy-ride, pros steal these. And they know about On-Star as well. I wish you the best but you will lilely not recover it AT ALL unless you go to Miami which is where most Escalades end up.

Being that this Escalade is the #1 stolen vehicle for 2010, no doubt it's being parted out or sold out of the country. According to the nydailynews the 2007 - 2009 model is the biggest target. I wonder if that model has a chipped key to begin with. With onstar i bet it's quite easy to disable, the pros prob have it down to a science with pulling a fuse. I thought onstar was a pay for feature anyway. If that's the case dealer wouldn't have it active. Sorry for your loss. What is the latest update?

No word, no luck, nothing. Onstar was disabled by previous owner, they couldn't get in touch with the vehicle and dealer couldn't do anything. The loss isn't easy to swallow.

We have full video of the thieves walking the lot two days in a row and even driving off with the vehicle. Police haven't come to pick up any evidence. As my sig says, I'm indeed learning everyday.

^We are indeed extremely lucky to recover it. Its a blessing. I had begun to forget about it and but it behind me, but the investigator come to the lot yesterday and told us he had found it. Got a call from the impound the same day and said it was ready to be picked up. I just brought it back home.

Congrats. Question though - All vehicles have vin stickers. Were the original vin stickers tampered with and replaced with forged ones? AKA counterfeit vin stickers?

Thats not a bad price at all considering the miles, and the upgrade to 24 inch rims. Happy to hear that the escalade was returned. Those thieves must have been pretty good to pull this off.
