Got bit by a spider

So I'm at work and cleaning out some old boxes and nothing is wrong....feel sumthin bite me on my thigh (wearing shorts) like a ant bite....wake up the next morning and BAM, a bump the size of a dime, I didn't pay any attention to it which I should of cuz now a week later I'm at work right now typing this, the bite is a lil bigger than a ping pong which has swelled up. The doctor says I have to get it lashed ASAP. Popped it this morning when I came in and this black liquid started coming out after the blood and puss came. Shit is fucking freakin me out.

I was at Gwinett medical center 2 days ago picking up my homeboi and showed one of the doctors, she was like WOAA :eek: , "YOU NEED TO GET IT LASHED ASAP!". But it popped this morning and starting to go down, think I should still go to the clinic though.

1. take pictures.
2. take video
3. post both up here.
4. then... POSSIBLY go to the hospital.
5. Or dont and lose a leg... whichever you'd prefer.

Every once in a while you come across one of those videos online. Nasty as hell but definetely interesting if you've never seen such a thing before.

I know it's not a black widow....First you probably wouldn't even feel it, second it would be the tiny bite with a large brownish ring around it like a bruise (once this forms then it will begin to sting), 3rd i think it's about 20-30 minutes for a black widow's venom to take effect..it attacks your nervous system and you'll have numbness and cramps throughout your entire body, cold sweat (chills), etc...no use continuing because we know that's not what bit you...

Ok, a brown recluse is a whole differant story...again you still wouldn't feel it and the effects don't really kick in for 6 to 8 hours. But if it was a recluse then you would definitely know...it does start off like you describe, a small pimple or blister that swells up but here's where the good new begins....the tissue will start dying immediately, turning brown kinda like it's rotting right in front of you and within 24 to 36 hours you'll start to go in anaphylactic shock: chills, nausea, stiffness and join pain throughout your entire body... it's been a week you say? It wasn't a recluse either.


What other symptons are you having besides the swelling? How does your body normally react to bee stings and ant bites?

Are you speaking from experience or just what you've read/heard? One of the guys I used to work with was cleaning out the store room one day and got bit.... and I think he'd disagree about the whole not feeling it until 6-8 hours passed... Not sure if it's just cause he saw the spider bite him or what... but he damn sure felt something. Almost had to lose his foot too... Fuck spiders up there lil furry silk making buttholes..

Im a Navy Corpsman It doesnt sound like a brown recluse"real popular round these parts" necrosis would set in dying flesh around area. also the bite would turn into a deep hole and the puss would smell like ass.Speaking from experience.We get alot of Marines with recluse bites. Those are some mean lil fuckerz. You might wanna get that looked at like yesterday. unless you want one of those new carbonfiber prostetics?

^^ if there was dead tissue, it sounds like a very minor brown recluse bite maybe.

I HIGHLY recommend checking it often, cause their bites can seriously cause cellular necrosis. Dont believe me, just google Brown Recluse and look for some images...
