You don't have the cyclone manifold, what's up with that? Evo III's comes with it sooo...if its not on your car and it's at your house. I want to buy it.

Now about this Evo III motor where did you buy it and why does it have all the stock 2g heat shields on it? Kinda skeptical about the swap.

Not saying its not possible but it would be alot of work to take a evo III motor to look like a stock 2g motor.

Produce papers, videos, or other sorts of documentation.

Thank you,

DSM staff.

Bought the motor from Best Japanese Engines in Cobb. Yes it did come with the cyclone manifold but it was sold do to the fact that you have to have the right harness to even actuate the runners on the intake other wise you just have a smaller intake mani than a 2g since "cyclones" are some what smaller. Yes it has the stock heat shields, they came off the last motor. And its not like the motors come with "EVO III" stamped all over the place. Check vfaq.com or dsmtuners.com or gadsm.org to get your info on the motors. Also I had to relocate the CAS because of the harness inssues. And to top everything off Yes I HAVE RECEIPTS FOR THE MOTOR.
From RoadRaceEngineering.com:::

There is no "Cyclone Motor" The long blocks from Japan are the same year for year as the US motors. They will usually have the Cyclone intake manifolds on them. This is just a dual runner (similar to Toyota's TVIS system) intake manifold that gave a little better bottom end power IF you have all the electronics to properly actuate the butterfly valves. Also there are clearance issues between the Cyclone manifold and the larger US A/C compressor. Yes you can use it, but not really worth the hassle. Some manifolds will say "Cyclone" on them but not have the dual runner butterfly system.

EVO Motors: The valve covers of the EVO 1-3 motors will be a kind of titanium color. They are the same as a US 2G motor with nothing fancy. They have the smaller 2G style intake ports, a small runner intake manifold with a larger plenum and a larger throttle body than a 2G motor. Still they are hard to find. Many are from other 4G63 powered cars and can have small 13G sized turbos. They will not bolt into a 1G because there are no provisions for the front roll stopper motor mounts that bolt to the block. Everything in Japan from 94 and up has the front and rear roll stopper motor mounts on the transmission 2G Eclipse style. Many people are running around yapping about how they have an EVO motor in their car. If it bolts into a 1G, it isn't an EVO motor.

You're welcome,

JDSM.

Cool. Don't talk to me about getting my shit straight. I know what an Evo III motor looks like and has and you have done a good job of making it look like a stock 2g motor.

So do you have the evo III turbo or didnt you put something else on it?

And post the reciepts.

I'm not trying to call you out but usually an Evo III swap has the cyclone and doesn't have all the heat shields on there and you mention the turbo.

Its a evo3 motor, because i bought the stock evo3 16g with the turbo manifold and o2 housing from him. I even open up the turbo just to make sure the compressor size is correct. Bump for a good seller!!!

Heres a picture of my 2g, notice the valve cover. US 2g do not have the "Mitsubishi" word on the valve cover.

Thanks for the back up Leon. 1439/2000 dude I'm not trying to be an ass, all I want to do is sell my car. I dont want to start some BS thread. If you are intrested in the car let me know instead of trying to say that I dont have the swap. All you have said is that the motor isnt an evo III cause of heat shields, thats a great argument. The trubo is a evo 16g from Slow boy racing thats clipped and ported, the original 16g from the swap was sold to leon above and he made damm sure that it was a evo 16g. If you want to call BS on him or me check gadsm.org. All the guys there can vouch for both me and him and for the swap cause I asked a shiat load of questions on there before I bought the motor. So like I said if you want the car let me know and we can talk.
