B18c1 vtec not working - all 4 wires for vtec wired up also no cel code

Like title says, vtec not engaging, no cel codes, no vtec, could it be a bad oil pump, not building up pressure...?...lemme know IA....!

you don't have the oil galley on the underside of the head plugged do you?

why would he do this? its a gsr not a lsvtec. also do you have the knock sensor wired up? if not that is your problem, with out it vtec will not work.

I have seen several times where a motor was put together and the head used was once used on an LSV and wasn't reverted back to original form.

Like I said already...it's a GSR, and that I have all 4 main vtec wires all wired up, IAB, vtec oil p-switch, knock sensor, vtec wired up and that also ecu is not throwing no check engine light...and motor has got new oil change...so oil level is good.....so has anyone ever had this happen before?

What happens when you manually put voltage to the vtec solenoid switch with the car off. Does it click? Have you checked your solenoid filter?

^.......yeah it clicks, and checked the gasket, it looks clean....im thinking i prob need to open the valve cover and double check the rocker arms to see if the locking pins are intact...ecu isnt throwing no cel, im thinking im not building enough oil pressure, so that might just be the case...!


Or see if im missing the vtec o-ring thats in the middle between cyn 2 & 3.....!
