And I piloted my 1996 Dodge Neon.

My 1999 championship season was my first ever season in racing. I know I'm a good driver, but you do need some sort of good platform as well. If you knew anything aside from what you've read on other "let's bash neon" threads or what your friends told you when they read those threads, you'd know that the Neon was specifically designed to be an entry level race car. And, simontibbett, not just the ACR. The entire Neon line. The brass at Chrysler asked the design team to come up with a competitive car out of the gate for SCCA purposes only. This is why, at that time, the Neon had a higher performance level than the Civic. The car was pretty much all plastic. You could remove the dash in about 3 seconds (it just literally pops off). The Neon responded much better to modifications than the Civic (and most other cars in its class).

Personally, I'd take an ACR over any Civic made after 1991 any day. I'm not trying to insult you, but instead, just give you some insight on the car. It's not to make you like it or anything. Just to let you know the story behind the car. Later, QD.
