Using heat sensitive rotor paint (i think it's for the different temp of 750, 1000, & 1250 degrees F) is helpful in determining correct brake pad compounds and whether additional cooling/ducting is necessary.

while we are on the subject they also make temp strips to put on your calipers. :)
i have been thinking about getting some but i dont need them. anyhow, it would be fun to try and make them hot.
