I need an insurance company that will insure a car for 1 million dollars. SERIOUSLY. If anyone knows a company like this please email me or post here. I need this asap, like today before 430pm. Contact name and number if possible.
I need to get this done FAST. If you know someone and you know me personally call me on the cell. I am making a few calls also, so let me know.
Im off to lunch, but will check thread when I get back.
Later...

Can you just create a business for your car, shows and sponsorships and get a general liab. policy for $1M which would be about $500-1000 yrly.
Is this something a show venue is requesting? If so, the $1M g/lib should be provided by the show organizer and then you insure your car for it's actual value.

yeah, the show venue is requesting. Sounds like you have dealt with this, let me know if you have any connections..^^
Edit:
The show venue is wanting us to get the car insured for a mill, but its fine because the premium will be on a yearly basis and it will be shown in about 6-10 shows throughout the year, and every facility is requesting this.

That's crazy. I've never heard of that before. What's the reason for the $1,000,000.00 policy?

Most venues require a $1+M general liab. policy - it is standard practice. However, it would the the show management that would provide the proof of coverage to the show venue. The show management may require this same coverage from any exhibitor who plans on setting up an exhibit at the show.
I am not sure why a venue would require an individual show participant to have a $1M policy, unless the participant is planning on having a booth exhibiting the car. But, I believe this still falls under a general liability policy, not a $1M policy for the car.

So the $1m is if the car causes damage to the venue, it'll be covered?

correct :) (car, car owner, display-set up, etc)

Thats total bullshit. The person doing the show/event should be liable for this.
TOTAL BULLSHIT!

um, hello -- isn't that what I said... let's break it down in cliff notes, so it is clear:
The company putting on the show is responsible for providing the G/O certificate to the show venue.
Show management will SOMETIMES require this coverage from a company who is setting up a booth at the show.
A $1M policy should NOT be required from someone who is simply displaying their car at the show.

I appreciate all your help TkellarB, but we went through his companies lawyer and got covered for the entire year for all the shows.
