I have a "tune" on a chip that was in a p28. The ecu blew and I now have a p75, it has a tune on it from another car with very similar mods (he had 440's and I have 370's for now). It runs smooth mostly with that tune. A little rich and skips in higher rpms from the fuel. I still have my old "all motor" tune from the p28. Would putting that chip in the p75 run like it did when it was in the p28? I have swapped it and ran it, but car is running extremely rich. I was going to see if it could be just having a chip in a different ecu part number that could be this problem.

Also, could my cams being off slightly cause my car to run rich? I have heard this when I was doing research, but, wanted to get some verification.

It's a vtec motor. vtec is still kicking in. It was redone by Scotty at Mainstream for my friend when he had it in his car.

i have never heard of the cams making it rich unless they needed a certain tune or adj cam gears??? an different spark plug may burn all the fuel coming in but if it's tuned then it may not work. damn i want mine chipped and tunded and i may have an obd-1 LS ecu to do it, but it was from an auto.
