So yeah, it is FDA approved and it goes by the trade name of Desoxyn, but its really just Meth (and salt, used as a binder). It is a schedule II drug just like Morphine, OxyContin, etc. They have been prescribing it for ADHD, narcolepsy, depression, and morbid obesity for many years and the dosage is FAR FAR LESS than what a tweaker would use to get high.
Chemically, Meth is an amphetamine just like any of the other drugs prescribed for these conditions... Dexedrine, Adderall, Ritalin, etc etc. The only thing that really seperates Meth from the other amphetamines is that you can't make potent Adderall or Ritalin in your garage.
So there you have it... the one "moral panic" every single opponent of MMJ fears the most, the precedent that Medical Meth could be out on the streets. It has been there all along and most people haven't even been bothered as to notice. :screwy:
