Need tranny help from h22 guys

Aight so I have a h22 eg. 5th won't engage and 2nd is hard to put in. Allot of people have said to change tranny cables bc they stretch. Could this be my problem.? And help or advice is great

Possible. I have seen several extremely bad 5th gear syncros in the H's and 2cd isnt a far stretch either. Could be internal trans or cable problem.

If it is syncros how much would rebuild run? It's a m2b4 LSD. Would it be better to buy new one?

I would lean more towards an internal issue, the problem is you can rebuild it, parts are not cheap and know its good, or buy another used one and maybe run into the same issue...

That's really not that bad. How long would it take? I'm trying to be ready before ia. I'm going to try cables first to and see what happens if it doesn't work I'll be giving yall a call

It doesnt take long for me to figure out the issue normally.
