an incredible amount of money.
Easiest way IMO to do it:
VTEC HEAD
Skunk2 Tuner Stage IIs or PRO1s with valvetrain
ITR or PR3 Pistons
LS rods with ARP rod bolts (so you can rev to 8500)
Skunk2 Intake manifold with 68mm TB
Decent exhaust.intake (no cat)
Tune with Crome PRo
That will get you close.
to make 200whp ALL MOTOR with a Straight LS, good luck, no one has come close to that locally that i know of. Its an incredible amount of money to get to 180whp, and with the cam youll have to run, the car wont idle for shit
^^^^ what he said
or you can just spend that money on my built h22 and have over 250whp just sayin...

vtec head with a nice intake manifold like a victor x, with good header like kidd racing or hytec, b16 piston with ls rods arp rod bolts, and valve train with pro 2s shoul equal up to some nice numbers depending on tuner though

Pro2 is way to big for a 1.8l I don't know how many times I have to tell people that.
Pro1s are the best cam for street cars especially 1.8l cars with ls rods that can't rev to 9000
choose the cam that works the best, not the biggest you can find

Not gonna try to get into this lol, but to the OP it wont happen with an ls.
Pro2s i can only see doing good on an 1.8l is LOTS of compression. And jersey victor x are horrible on anything less than a 2.0 with big cams. It has nice top end but midrange is gonna be horrible. And for a 1.8l street setup i see S2S2 or blox b's being a good cam choice with around 11.5:1 cr or so.

i think hes talking about the PERFORMER X, not the Victor X. The Victor X is the bib mamoth manifold its good for turbo cars.
PRO2s, im sorry why would you run a cam that is not designed for that size engine. I have dynoed prob more PRO cams than i can count on various engines both personal and customers. On a 1.8L setup the PRO1s are great, they are DROP IN , no degreeing is needed you can run them at 0,0.
PRO2 and PRO3 Skunk2 will recommend they be degreed in professionally as they are more of a race cam.
Think about it, a JDM ITR motor can only move SO MUCH AIR. Throwing a PRO3 cam in it is not going to make more power than a Skunk2 PRO1.
Lets say a JDM ITR motor STOCK moves 100CFM of air (for arguments sake). Adding a PRO1 cam and a header allows it to move 120CFM at 100% VE. Do you really think putting a PRO3 cam in it is going to make a difference? no because at some point the motor is MAXED out this is based on valve size, compression, bore, head porting, TB size , etc.
You should choose the cam that allows your motor to be maxed out on VE, that is a properly sized cam.
If "one sized fits all" why not just recommend PRO3s to EVERYONE?

11.5 comp pistons with some eagle rods, GSR head with pro 2s and supertech valvetrain, skunk 2 IM, a good throttle body and a hell of a good tune on hondata s300 and u will be well on ur way. anything short of 200 a small shot will fix. been down that road before, just my .02

Ok between this and ht I'm going to dyno the pro1 vs the pro2
I made 202/139 with skunk2 stage 2s on a bone stock internals itr engine. You can't tell me pro2s would have made more power lol

Victor X...a big manifold, HA!

Now thats a big honda manifold, also, NOT THE BIGGEST.
Not good for all motor B'z though
Making good all motor power on an LS is EXPENSIVE.

** 84MM bottom end
** LIGHTWEIGHT flywheel (I've seen 7+ whp on a flywheel alone and I used a stock heavy fw on my setup)
** p8R head setup by the BEST (portflow, endyn, team4piston [Luke or Josh], Stewart Racing Engines[Jim]
** BC0023 cams (or Crower 405s... good luck finding these classic gems) - DEGREED IN
** Light or ultralight rods
** KiddRacing Header (or RMF NArrow / AN-R / etc)
BTW... be ready for 1300rpm idle. You WILL make 190 or better if your tuner isn't a dork. I made 170 with a BS cam (403s) on a setup that's ready to turn 9500+ rpms but a cam that started rolling over at 7100 -- (i simply ran out of cam).
Watch me make 190+ shortly on Bc0023s.

By the way --- call your bank - you're gonna need them. Rather than tell you what you DIDN'T ask for I'll tell you what you ARE asking for (nonv) - but I will also tell you that it's easier to make power with VTEC (hooray - you have a carbon-copy setup of every other Honda on the road). If you have a point to prove for yourself, are a weirdo, just wanna play with non-v setups or are a glutton for punishment (I am all of the above) then pursue it. If your pockets are nervous then you can build an LS that performs (with the right tranny) for much cheaper.
Also - if you're looking for RELIABLE 200whp (and B series), I gotta agree with Mike... get an ITR block/head - deck the head, load it w/ flat valves/ret, Pro ONES (don't be Ricky Racer... I swear some of you would buy Pro 9s if they made 'em and put 'em on a B16 just to stand in a parking lot and say you did it) and get a good tune. RELIABLE - FAST - DONE. Then drink beer.

I can tell ya that.....
B20 bottom end
Higher than stock comp.
B16 head
a small cam
Good manifold and TB
VTECKIDD Header
big exhaust
Will net you over 200+whp easily!! and drive it everyday with the A/C blowing snowflakes! Darkstar can vouch for this.
Just my 2 cents
