So I am hooking my JVC KD-R200 back up in my car.... Ive got the Factory Harness still in my eg8 & I have the aftermarket male plug that you can buy from wal-mart & best buy.... I am having an issue because I do not have the sheet that explains what goes to what as far as hooking wires up from the cd play to the male plug.... When I turn my ignition over to check if it comes on for power & to check all speakers for sounds this is what happens:

1. It will light up when you turn the key over to start the car & then go off....
2. It will come on when you hit the Eject button & go off as soon as you put a CD in....
3. It will come on when you hit the DISP. button & go off....

And hear is how I have the wires hookied from the cd player to the male plug:

Power Supply & Accessories:

Black to Black (ground)

Red to Red (12+ Volt Memory)

Yellow to Yellow (12+ Volt Power)

Blue (power ant+)- not used

Orange/White (dimmer)- not used

Blue/White (remote)- not used

Speakers:

White to White (+)
White/Black to White Black (-)

Green to Green (+)
Green/Black to Green Black (-)

Gray to Gray (+)
Bray/Black to Gray Black (-)

Purple to Purple (+)
Purple/Bleck to Purple Black (-)

Can someone please help me out with this.... I know its hard to understand in words & in person is easier but if you can point me on the right direction to get this to work it will be greatly appreciated....

Or if you can tell me how to just hard wire into the stock harness & bypass all the plugs it will be greatly appreciated....

Problem fixed.... Decided to check the 7.5A ECU backup fuse under the hood & it was popped.... Replaced it with a 15amp fuse & its working perfect now.....

you replaced the ECU fuse with something that is a higher amp then what the factory recommends??? I may be wrong but you might want to stick another 7.5a in there just so you dont fry the ecu
