is normally a beautiful car, and when given to the man that goes by the name of Mike Burroughs, well we all know what happens. Here is his latest creation. Love it or hate it, as I know IA will split and do both. Thought I'd share:

The second "after" picture makes me want to go cut my springs. Thanks, asshole.

**Edit: cut my springs more**

kinda boring IMO

needs baller wheels and glossy paint

looks good, but really needs some wheels!

It was better in the before shot.

IMO -
1) dropped it too far for that model, especially without aftermarket wheels - that definitely did not improve the performance, which started off poorly already
2) primered it without fixing the rear quarter, plus primered over bumper mounts. Just made it look worse and lost value for not having orignial paint
3) removed the bumpers, but did nothing about the bumper mounts, and it did not improve the lines of the car. If removing the chrome bumpers, he should have addressed the mounts, and de-chromed the rest of the car as well.

Basically, it looks like it took a clean classic and turned it into a beater.

Someone right down the road from me has one of these.

Eh. I'm kind of unimpressed for something of Mr. Burroughs. Really needs spacers. Looks comfy though.

You all are missing the point with this.

Ahaha we agree on something for once. He should have left the car alone, the original paint and the "unrestored look" was really nice, now it just looks like something you'd find on Buford Highway.

Since when was taking a nice car and making it more like a beater cool? Its getting to the point where the kids are going for that "burned out engine bay fire BMW at pull-a-part" look.

Looks terrible. If this is the guy who had the infamous rusted BMW then he's let himself down with this. It's substantially worse than how it was in the before picture. It's got a shit quality shit paint job, cut springs and bumpers removed. The drop looks stupid on those rims and the lack of bumper is just ridiculous. It would have looked better if he left it in it's stock form and dropped it. Even better would have been if he left it the fuck alone until he wanted to put some money into it and make it more than a half-assed "you don't understand the meaning of it" piece of shit.

I like the original color better, I think it's too low, and it looks sort of strange without the bumper...but otherwise, it's a very nice car. I feel like it could be done better :dunno:

the one who owns the 5 series e28 that just don't die, was at import allliance this spring with a 1jz, air ride, stripped to metal exterior, no hood on, and the oil cooler sticking out boso style.

Oh, so no one important, lolol. You posted it like he was some sort of known person, lolol.

This car looks good, but it did look much better before. It would be completely ruined if he replaced the factory wheels with anything "baller." Later, QD.

Agreed 100%

I love those body-colored hubs on the old Mercs and pretty much anything else just looks out of place.

well that car was forum-whored out so I figured some of you may know it. and yes he has a way to do cars very differently and catch a lot of hate for it. I knew this car wasn't going to be a hit here, I love it other than its 100% impractical, a little higher and small spacers would give it a nice lowered classic look. **edit, maybe some white walls**

I have to agree with Mr.Tibbet on this. I think alot of people missed the point. It's like rolling art. It's not for everyone.

Awesome way to destroy whatever resale value that car had. I really don't get why people make cars crappy on purpose though. If you want a crappy rustbucket, just go buy one. They are all over Craigslist for cheap. You don't have to ruin a nice car just because you have a taste for the junkyard look, lol.

I still think that Mr. Burroughs should have quit while he was ahead when his car (e30) died the last time.

It's 2010, being poor and completely retarded is just part of the new automotive "tuner" lifestyle.

there's no art, there's no style, just nothing but a waste of energy and time. To what looked like a very nice old skool benz.
