i have a 1989 Hondahttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/2_bing.gif (http://hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=2774092#) Accord LXI.

the problem is that it wont go in gear when its started up. but then its not started up itll go in gear with no problems. out of the blue it just did this one day. what can it be?????

i try putting it in 1st and starting it up and the car (http://hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=2774092#) will just jump jump jump like its trying to start.

what does this sounds like? THROW OUT BEARING?, CLUTCH?, SLAVE CYLINDER?

is this a Cable or hydro tranny?

if you can get it into gear while the car is off, the problem lies within your disengage mechanism (disregard spelling) the first thing to check is your master/slave cylinder... push the clutch in and have a friend check the movement... if movement is low, check your fluids/bleed... if you bleed it and movemtn is still low... look into replacing your slave cylinder, also look into the seal inside the car for the master cylinder

if all that is fixed and fine... look into getting a new clutch kit, it'll come with presure plate, clutch disk, bearings... and most OEM replacement clutch kits are affordable

start at the basics and move up
