I RECENT BOUGHT A D16Z6 THAT WAS AUTOMATIC. I TOOK THE TRANNY OFF AND PUT IN MY 5SPEED. I SWITCH OVER 2 THE HARNESS 2 A 5SPEED HARNESS GOT ME A STARTER. THE QUESTIONS IS THERE ANY THING ELSE I NEED 2 SWITCH OVER FROM A TRUE 5 SPEED D16Z6???? LIKE DIST, THROTTLE BODY ETC LMK?

and if you dont buy a 5 speed brake pedal, cut the auto one which i dont recommend because it sits really close to the clutch pedal

MY HATCH WAS A 5 SPEED HAD 2 SELL MOTOR AND TRANNY. BOUGHT A WRECK CIVIC WITH A D16Z6 MOTOR BUT WAS AUTOMTIC. I TOOK THE ENGINE OUT TOOK THE AUTOMATIC TRANNY OFF AND PUT A 5SPEED TRANNY ON. BASICALLY THE STOCK SETUP 4 MY 93 CIVIC HATCHBACK SI. I WAS WONDERING IF THE DIST IS THE SAME ON A AUTOMATIC D16 AS A MANUEL D16 AND THE THROTTLE BODIES R THE SAME?

Dizzy is the SAME...

Throttle body.. NOT.. you need a 5 speed throttle body AND intake Manifold..

whats the diffenece between the 2 throttle bodies and manifolds

The AUTO manifold Doesnt have the spot for your IACV...So you need the 5 speed throttle body to go with that also..


The Auto TB has a IACV built in it.. or some shit like that..

my girls z6 has the iacv the throttle body would need to be changed something about tps ask barefoot

the manifold that is on the d16 has a iac. the only diff between the 2 manifolds is a water line that runs 2 the water pipe in back if the block. . i had my buddy bring his civic over "he bought my orginal d16z6. there is a water line missing which comes out the water pipe in back of the block 2 the manifold

the reason why its important is the car runs fine. i havent drove it yet because i dont have the brake lines yet.
