Fun run sometime at SDR? preferably on a DOT tire, but either way is fine by me. I believe you run similar times to what I'm after, so it could be fun :goodjob:

well, if you can find that small of a 17, can you find me around a 205/50-55/R16?

in a drag radial?

Yes... I just want something to put on the gold wheels so I don't have to swap the wheels to run radials.

thats cool with me. IDk when I'll be down there. I'm like 30 minutes from Commerce. but we can try to arrange something. I need to find a good drag radial. I'm running falken azenis right now and can't really hook at all. my times have been off without a decent tire but we can work something out.

cool man, right now I'm on 215/45/16's so we shall see whats up. from looking at what others have said about your car it should be quick.

the closest thing i can find is a 225/50/16 Hoosier DOT radial.

they aren't cheap, but they look like they would work pretty decently for you guys. a 225 isn't very hard to fit either, so I would consider them.

yea, with my drop there is no way I could tuck them. looks like I'm picking up a set of spare wheels to run at the track.

yeah its a bitch to find radials and slicks in the sizes that would be truly convenient for our cars. i would love to find some good 16" slicks, but I have no idea where to find any. I've heard them mentioned before but no idea where to get them. A 24.5" x 9" x 16" slick would be fucking PERFECT imo. i get to have traction without sacrificing my brakes.

absolutely. IF you find a 16in its for RWD application usually. its like they don't care about the FWD crowd.

no, stock brake set up. but I bought a set of 24.5/8/13's on steelies just to find out I can't fit 13's over my brakes unless I buy a set of lenso's or similar. also i have 16in rims I want to daily dr's on but no luck on finding any. its just annoying.

how in the world can you tolerate stock brakes with decent power?? i would be terrified that the car wont stop quick enough lol! hell with the wilwood 12" rotors and 4-pot calipers i'm STILL nervous trying to get the thing to stop after a good pull.

haha, good pads and rotors. I've tracked the car before (road course) and it held up good. I haven't had a reason to second guess my brakes yet. and having to run 17's all the time would kill me.

I can squeak by with 16's, but I like these 17's since they are forged, and they were a friend's so they have some sentimental value.

I feel ya. I doubt I'll ever go bigger on the brakes. IF I reach my power goals then I'll need all the sidewall I can get.
