engine finally kicked the bucket at 244k... paid $250 for the car and got 8k miles out of the original engine(even though got it with a rod knock)

well i found a really nice 4th gen, clean as fawk, red on broze rims. fully built f22 with about 180hp to the crank. he was asking 3000. but i aint got no cash....

ive delt with a couple a series including to a18's in 2 2nd gen ludes... i miss them..

Thats why boost is the way to go, lol. I made 230 on a stock F22 at 8psi. I ran 12 daily, lol. I'm building now and shooting for 400whp.

yea... def in better shape than we got it. had no stereo, no speakers, it had the gauges but they weren't hooked up... thing wouldn't idle for shit and so on... all that went wrong, was when it spun a bearing... but it had plenty of new stuff.. new ps pump, new rack and pinion, brand new radiator. freash brakes all around, new rotors on the front, pretty new tires... im just looking to find some wheels that i can throw on it... the steelies aren't my favorite... would mind a straight up trade for just a set of rims with no tires for the rims and tires on her car...

no if most of y'all dont know stock gauge color is blue, if you got factory denso gauges you can take them out and sand off the blue coating... but you can't if you've got avs... it looks a lot closer in R.L...

Hmm another 3gee....Ive got a stage 4 vac deleted stock Keihin carb with manual secondary that works perfectly for $50 if you want it. Its aleady got all the block off plates that I made as well as the necesary ports plugged, and I converted it to manual secondary from vacuum operated.

Also stock guage color is green lol. :) On the inside of the cluster if looks blue but its a bluish green.

got the engine back together, leak down test was good. hand turning compression was 75psi for all

Don't drop it in yet! clean that block with some degreaser and a wire brush, and repaint that heat shield with some black high temperature paint, and paint the block after you clean it, rinse all the degreaser off well, or the paint will bubble up, and only use light coats, just to get an even color....get some silver aluminum color paint too. Mine as well do it now since its out, make it look minty new.

And go stand in the engine bay with that degreaser a waterhose and a bucket and a bunch of rags and scrub the engine bay the best you can......make your girlfriend do it since it's her car, and hopefully she's better at cleaning then you are.

well im not one for painting the block... but everything else i already did with degreaser.... so....... little late there....

picked up a tranny today.... dont know the condition yet but im pretty sure its not the reason it was at pull-a-part.... the engine did have 2 snapped rods... lol so now this is how we stand...

yea, only a little though? ive always done that, just in case theres a low spot i missed... its never failed me yet.... this is engine number 5 or so? 1 or 2 of those engines might of been teared down a time or two... to change things around if i dont like how it runs...

got a 2nd gen prelude valve cover cause i love the way they look. and i finally modified the filter/hood risers to fit it and it sounds pretty good.

but for future mods now that i decided to keep it cause i just got the ac fixed and its freaking awesome. i get like 35mpg with ac full blast... going to paint it metallic black, 2 tone the interior to a black and blue, color match engine bay as well, drop it a inch or two with some rota slips...

hmmm..... dont know if im going to go that far., but i do have plugs and i was going to make a block off plate for the egr...

well i thought it looked blue to me... but oh well.... what part of G-ville you out of? cant say ive seen your car roaming around?

Nah used to do that back in high school....the strip isnt what it used to be. Rice fest bull is mostly what it is now. I work 2-10 though so am not out there anyway unless im passing through on my way home, I usually go by the big lots on fridays but its just to get into the turning lane to go to taco hell.

Go check out the ac reps I have for sale...theyll look good on the 3gee they sure as hell did on mine. :)

Oh and btw your temp sensor is on the t-stat housing neck...not on the intake manifold.

89 lx water temp sending unit is right next to the carb on the back of the intake manifold. it might be different for FI models, the card has a thermovalve in the water neck at the thermostat-housing...
