2 friends of mine were arguing over which was better the CTR or ITR. So I want to know everyone's opinion on which they would rather have and why.

We'll use the JDM ITR in this comparison since we didn't get a CTR over here.

Which one would you want?

I personally would rather have the ITR. The CTR is pretty cool though. I personally can't give a good opinion on them, since I haven't driven either. The handling on the ITR is easily one of the best to this day for FWD vehicles. It was sort of ahead its time. The CTR I am sure performs well also, but I am not sure what it is compared to the ITR. Considering they share the same chassis they probably share the same suspension from factory.

Overall the better car is the 98 Spec ITR. More HP, more TQ, better Final Drive (4.78 vs 4.4) , better aerodynamics , IIRC better overall suspension and chassis.

The b16B is just a really high strung B16 on crack. you have to rev the shit out of it for any power etc. The CTRs are really good Road Race cars because of the high revs and such and they are lighter IIRC.

For me i just like the styling of the ITR better

I chose the CTR just cause I like the civics better than the tegs. I would love to get either motor for my EK.

One day somehow I will own one of these cars though.

Dude. Integras are hatches too. Duh.

I'd pick the CTR. I don't really know why. It just calls to me more.

Gonna go with CTR on this myself. I love both and would kill to have either one, but something is just more appealing to me with the CTR. Champ white with some extra Mugen goodies is full of WIN!

Prelude type S ftw!!!!

But if I had to choose between these two I'd have to go with Itr.. Better platform IMO and I think that CTR looks ugly.. Except for the wheels lol

either way though, I'd choose the itr

jdm itr w0rd!! why just because, i've lived my teenage life wanting one. 8D and now i've grown out of it but still want one in stock form which is impossible cause they only made so many of them 8D

ITR for me. The Integra is styled much more like an actual sports car than the Civic in my eyes. Plus I would much rather have the 1.8, no replacement for displacement my friends.

Ill take the ETR................ European Type R Integra. B18C6 , Say Im lying!!!!!!!!!! There not called ETR They are ITRs but I would take that specific one.

from a performance and styling aspect, i'd take the teggy. from an exclusivity stand point, i'd take the ctr since we never got it over here. you see alot of tegs with the "jdm" conversions. some have performance to back it up, some dont. i like the integra better than the civic, but i can count on one hand the number of times i've seen an authentic CTR, and i'm sure more than one of those instances were the same car..

im partial to the ITR because i have a 98ITR

The EK is going to be more top heavy because its physically taller than the ITR making it slightly clumsier...

Who cares if that particular pic isn't a JDM ITR....it's for comparison reasons.

Accord type-r imo...... but between these two, the b16b

Accord Euro-R or Accord Inspire.

Either way, between the two, I will take the CTR......or my Del Sol.

It's never silly. The b18 makes more power and is capable of making more power. I see what you're getting at though. It's like deciding between a 4hp or 5hp lawnmower.

IIRC, they do but the ITR has a factory port job and the ITR has longer intake manifold runners.
