I got a shitload of dynamat...I put some on my trunk lid and behind my license plate, and that alone helped a lot! The majority if the rattling is gone!
But where else in the car should I put it? Rear deck? Doors? Where are the beneficial places to put this stuff?

everywhere in the trunk, and then work your way around.

no, not everywhere.
Map out the acoustics. Figure out what you need and where your vibrations are coming from. Sound deadening is most effective when it covers 25% of the surface.

Yes, everywhere.
There are certainly places to concentrate on, but, acoustically speaking, the more metal you can cover, the better off you will be.

Yeah.... That's like saying that you only need to cover 25% of your cock with a condom to prevent pregnancy. you must not know what is involved in a purpose built sound quality vehicle. If/when you ever want to experience what it is like to hear the best of the best sound quality cars in the world you should come visit us here at American Radio in Cumming. Everyone, especially in the sound competition world will tell you that the more sound deadening you use the mo' betterer it will sound.
I would definitely listen to this guy! He's only the sound quality world Champion, just sayin ;)

I really want to make fun of you for stupid a comment that is, but honestly I don't think it would do you any good at this point. Just know that you are wrong about your assessment; completely wrong.
To the original poster: if you have completely deadened your trunk, then the next places to hit will be the rear deck lid, the inner and outer door skins, the floor pans, and then the roof. In that order. Keep in mind there is no such thing as too much deadener.

what the hell does sound quality have anything to do with this post? OP wants to get rid of rattling, not build a world class SQ car.
