Just wondering about how much is the usual price to get the valve stem seals changed? and is it something that could be done without taking it to a machine shop? Its a gsr head.
Thanks for any input :goodjob:

it can be done, it is a pain and i know this man can do it for ya. i think it takes a good hand and a special tool and some prior knowledge. don't screw it up call barefoot and with it being off the car makes life very easy. i have a valve spring compressor if ou need it but i'm sure you have one^^^
Yeah you do need couple special tools to do this. Just let someone who knows what there doing do this job. Not really a DYI for amateurs.

well it really comes down to how the amateur thinks, some amateurs are pretty darn smart and quick learning... and others are like rocks

Well I found the DIY and it seems like its a pretty simple process. The hardest part seems to be putting the keepers back in after the seal is replaced. http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1604753
