Built based on a Harbor Freight 40x48 Trailer kit with the upgraded 12" wheels and tires. Two additional 3/16 angle crossbars have been added between the three factory crossbars to stiffen the trailer.
Full aluminum diamond plate deck added. Locking aluminum diamond plate Cargo box is 36" wide x 24" deep x 19" high. Custom blue rubber liner in bottom of box. Lid of box has two hydraulic prop arms to keep it open.
Two 1/8" thick, ~2" OD steel tubes installed securely in flanges that are bolted through trailer frame crossbars. Tubes have been drilled at various heights to allow wheels from 5.5" to 9" wide to be secured to the trailer. Diamond plate cover and a set of two trailer hitch pin Masterlocks secure the wheels to the trailer during transport. Pictured with 4 wheels/tires, but designed to easily hold 6 normal or 8 smaller width wheels.
All original lights have been replaced with LED lighting. Additional reflectors added to retain legality since LED lights do not have integral reflectors. Pull handle added to trailer to allow for easy movement of the trailer when not hooked to a vehicle. New/never used spare wheel/tire mounted to front of trailer.
Material list alone was well over $900.
