I want to know if anyone ever shot this gun. And what is your input on this firearm?
I am in the market for one and it's pretty darn affordable and pretty accurate from what I hear.

What up? Nala says "Hey"......:)

45-70 is a very old cartridge but very reliable. It's a great round. Doesn't have much kick, depending on the load. In that outfit, it's basically a different caliber 30-30. Great brush gun. You'll like it.

Big bullet, probably not much range, like a 30-30

Lol Jaime What's up bro?! I'm glad to hear Nala says Hey.

Yea I think I'm going to buy one. I've always been into old cowboy's lever actions. And I hear the ammo can be pretty darn expensive. That's the only thing straying me away from this baby.

I think you will be more happy with the model 94 30-30. The 45-70 is a great round but the 30-30 is the same setup, cheaper to shoot, and a longer range gun.

And for the above post knocking the 30-30s range. Dont forget some of those old military snipers taking huge shots with the 30-30. Its been around so long alot of bullet manufacturers make some cheap match ammo for it. Get you a nice side mounted scope setup and your set.

Not knocking it, just comparing. The 30-30 doesnt have the range of a .270 or a 7mm is what I mean.

Used to have a 30-30. Pretty much the same set up.. Awesome gun, I loved it. Ammo isn't too expensive either..
