Sorry for your loss. I had a dog Hercules I had to put down several months ago. I rescued that dog as a 3 week puppy that somebody put in a cardboard box and threw on the side of the road. Turned out to be a 100lb Great Dane/Shepard mix... I cried like a baby when I had to put him down. Now I have a Lab/German Shepard mix that I got from another IA member on here. Dog has an eating disorder I think... He cannot stop eating and drinking if there is food or water to be found. One day I caught him drinking so much water (out of the toilets) that he was literally drinking and pissing at the same time. My oldest daughter and me laugh about our history with "defective dogs"... But I wouldn't change it for the world. They are just like your children, except they never ask for money.

damn... im sorry to hear that man, i remember when i was younger back in Grenada, we had a german sheppard that became like part of our family, then one day my mom forgot the gate open and it wandered down the street and got hit by a car.... my entire family cried while me and my cousin buried him in the back yard, and my grandmother didnt speak to my mom for like 2 weeks. i know how you feel ...... thats really sad to hear.

sorry to hear Paul, they truly are like a child.....and x2 on the balling like a bitch, we had a cat from the time i was like 4 and had to put it to sleep when i was in college....i snotted and cried all over myself, it's hard to lose something that's been there everyday and has it's own personality and quirks, that was almost 10 years ago and i still think about that cat, it was the only cat my parents had and they never got another one after

ya it sucks, we were eating dinner last night and i was looking around to see where tina was so i could feed her scraps... :(

but its all good she is better off now and has had an awesome life... we rescued her from a home that didn't want her and she had a good 5+ years with us. we are now looking into getting a Cane Corso so my toy poodle romulus has a friend to hang with.

Sorry to hear buddy. Traci has the great idea to get a dog. Now we have an 10.5 month old Doberman. I told her that I'll blame her if anything happens REAL TAWK.

Romulus thinks he is a Cane Corso so that is perfect.

Sorry to hear about your dog man. It's always so very hard to lose a pet, and even more so when you have to be the one to make the decision. Of couse you can take comfort that she'll be waiting for you at the Bridge.

I'm sorry for your loss man, I wouldn't know what to do if I had to put one of my little shits (toy pomeranians) down. I hope you feel better soon, you already know that it was best, and the best thing for them is usually never the easiest.
