i have a couple somewhat nooooooobish questions.

This morning I replaced my upper radiator hose.

After replacing it, I filled the radiator to the top with anti-freeze, but then i later learned that the dipstick under the radiator cap should be flush with the opening (well at least thats what something i read said in another forum).

Is putting too much antifreeze in bad?

How do I know if I put too much coolant in?

Also, how do I bleed the system completely of air?

I looked at a couple of forums, but the information seemed contradictory, and now I'm confused. (maybe i was just tired when i read it all)

so this is where im at:

the radiator is full, and there are no more bubbles coming out of the bleeder screw. am i fine?

thanks:goodjob:

Should be fine if there are NO more bubbles... Drive around for test drive. make sure everything is correct.

You bled at the radiator AND the thermostat? I spent about 2 hours completely bleeding one like yours a few weeks ago.

They can take a LONG time to bleed completely. Very intricate cooling system...
