i do love it though. the wheels aren't gaudy like most MB owners go for that "baller" look, this is crisp.

I agree with e30pwr, spacers and drop then you are good to go.

as it sits, it looks like a 300c IMO. But i understand you'll be dropping and spacing and whatever you kids do these days, so looks good.

i'm sure there is something out there in your price rangeI know. I meant that I'm not sure how I want to lower it. Do I want to drop $2k on a RennTech ELM w/ controller? Is my buddy really going to be able to lower it via STAR diagnostics for free and will I even have the time to take it down there (his dealership might not allow him to do so)? Or am I going to get the lowering links?

Is this your car?Yes.

The SLR brakes are apparently the AMG 8-piston with different pads and carbon rotors. Last time I checked that front setup was about $12,000 MSRP at the MB dealer and until now I thought that caliper was exclusive to the Mclaren SLR...

Last time I checked that front setup was about $12,000 MSRP at the MB dealer and until now I thought that caliper was exclusive to the Mclaren SLR lol!Learn something new everyday. I figured the SLR would have bigger calipers than mine, even though it doesn't weigh as much.

Learn something new everyday. I figured the SLR would have bigger calipers than mine, even though it doesn't weigh as much.[Ninja edited my last post] Bigger calipers only go so far. Brakes are only as good as the tires and any more clamping force will just lock street tires up. A non-aggresive street pad is more than sufficient for that caliper on the average car.

Now I'm on a new hunt for these calipers lol!

Finally got it lowered. This is as low as it goes. I can raise it up slightly, but since it doesn't rub like this, I'm not going to ride around with it up. Besides, it lowers itself at speed anyway, so there is no point.

yup i think its the rim is too large for the wheel well or to large and not enough tire sidewall. aka needs 19's not 20's. but thats just me.
