So one thing I do not like doing is using eye protection over my glasses. The nose piece sits half way down my nose and its simply not 'comfy'. That being said, so far I just use my normal eye glasses and nothing else. I've read on a handful of websites that they have RX friendly frames (such as WileyX) but can not find prices on any sites for the cost of some prescription eye protection. I do want something fairly stylish and interchangeable - swap out clear lens and tinted depending on inside or outside shooting. Probably something that I'll use on a daily basis in the car as sunglasses also. I contacted Oakley and they want the price of the frames + about $300 per set of lenses. However, they could not tell me which material they could use for firearms or 'ballistic' reasons. I don't think I want to pay $300 for the frame then another $600 for 2 sets of interchangeable lenses.
So what are you guys using out there? Do any of you double them as every day sunglasses?
Looking to place an order ASAP so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Just called WileyX and they seem like really good prices - at least compared to Oakley's. $75sh for the frames and $115 per RX set of lenses. Another guy said to try out ESS so I'm going to call and find some prices for their stuff too once I look over their site.

WileyX, Oakley, and ESS are all suppliers to the military and all have nice eyewear. I can hookyou up on frames from oakley as we get a 50% military discount from them. I cannot help you on the lenses though. They are special order. I also get a discount through ess and wileyx. Let me know which direction you wish to go, which part number, and which px, and I will see what kind of discount i can get for you.

Awesome thanks man! Yeah the Oakley are nice but at $300 per RX lens set thats kinda high. Especially since I want a clear and a smoke set. I couldnt get in touch with ESS today as they were already closed so I'll call tomorrow. Have you used either the ESS or WileyX? Just trying to get an idea for comfort. Not sure I'd like the foam outline to some of the wiley ones since im not in the 'sandbox'

Oh and I'm not sure I wanna go with an RX Insert, they are far cheaper and way easier to change out colors BUT some of them just look SUUUUUUUUPERRRRRRRRRR goofy. I'd like these to double as my daily sunglasses too haha.
