This one was pretty surprising. We put the kit on the car and did a little street tune a little while ago at over 160k miles on this motor. The original (yes 160k on that too) OEM clutch went out shortly after putting the kit on and we had to get that taken care of before we could turn it up much. After life getting in the way we were finally able to get together to get it on the dyno and finish this thing. The original motor now has over 170,000 miles on it. We could easily have pushed it more and got more out of it, but with 170k on the odometer, I decided it was enough for now. Next up comes some cams and a built block and then we can REALLY turn it up. Who says Subarus are not reliable?!?

Along with the kit Amonsta has picked up all the right supporting mods. Andy is also installing TGV deletes for Clark (thanks Allpro!), Injector Dynamics 1000cc injectors, Halman Pro boost controller, FMIC and a couple other goodies.

Pics when we can.

It could make over 400whp on pump, but decided not to push things as he wanted the motor to last a couple more months. We plan on it when the engine is redone :)

thats not surprising, i had a 150,000 mile wrx ej20 that i put a 20g on and made 325 whp and it lasted for a few years and as far as i know is still running that setup. subaru by far is one of the most reliable cars i have ever owned.

People tend to start breaking stuff above the 350 range for some reason on the Sti's...not on all of them, but heck there are stock Sti's busting ringlands.
