i was jus about to check my oil when i realized the hoses connecting the radiator to the engine, has no pressure, its flat down together, the car isnt over heating, and the gauge reads right in the middle of hot and cold, i drive a 98 accord, anyone know what may be the problem if there even is a problem? any help would be appreciated

you shouldnt need hoses unless they are leaking. the cap should fix your problem.

+1 on the cap the coolant system is sucking air causing the hoses to collapse.
