But it's still against the law in Colorado. So even if your in denver, and you get caught your breaking a state law, instead of a local law and a state law.

Many opponents also said it made no sense to prevent prosecution by Denver authorities while marijuana charges are most often filed under state and federal law.

To even try and enforce that on posession of an ounce would be a waste of taxpayers money

I agree, we do it everyday. Much more important things to be concentrating on like alcohol for 1.

i disagree with the measure.. every one of my friends that smoke weed on a regular basis are losers. they have no motivation to do anything EVER. sure i dont think it will hurt you, but it does make you lazy if you are a regular smoker

^not necessarily true. i use to smoke regulary, and i still got up for school and went to work. it was how i relaxed at the end of my day. Hit the bong a few times, turn on a movie, eat n get some sleep. and i worked around refualr smokers. they were always on time and worked hard. it was a recreational thing for them.

Nice, I bet a new federal law goes into effect soon to over rule this.

Hopefully not.

Word! I work with several, and they make over $100K a yr. They didn't get there without hard work either, like some people.

Don't assume you're 100% safe in Denver due to a local ordinance/law.

As stated before, it's still a state and federal law that you can not possess any controlled substances. So if a local cop in Denver stops you for your 0.9 ounces of weed, you may feel all safe and secure about it... but if the CSP (Colorado State Police) stops you on any road, even if in Denver, you can be thrown straight in jail.

Besides, what's the difference in smoking in your home in Denver and smoking in your home here? There's no enhanced effect that legality has on the drug itself. Might as well save the money and go smoke at home in front of your keyboard while typing on IA. =]
