Has anyone ever used there debit or credit card for a large purchase and ended up getting a refund that is to be put back into your account? If so, about long did it take for the funds to show back up in your account?

It took a couple days for me. But I would imagine it could take up to a week in some cases.

Thanks. I went back for the refund on 3/18 so it really hasn't been any business days for processing. I was just inquiring to see so I don't sit here freaking out that I am not getting my money back like I am right now lol. I called the bank and the business. The bank says 3-5 business days but when I went for the refund he said 12-24 hrs and when I called him today he said it showed it went through. I HATE WAITING FOR MONEY! lol

dont worry, if your card issuer says they give it back you WILL get it back....sometimes they just might hold it to collect interest.....yes many companies do this

Well fuck that, I have bills to pay lol.. I had a new goal for this yr when taxes came back. To stay at a certain limit and not go under it to stay ahead of the game.

It depends on where you used it really. Most cases its 3 - 5 business says. I know when purchasing airline tickets, we have some refunds that take 6 - 8 weeks, which really pisses people off but its nothing we can change.

*update* Money was in my account when I checked this morning. Party at my crib this weekend :ninja:

I haven't. But some1 broke into my account and tried to spend well over what I had in the bank and my bank, not gonna mention names but rhymes with wah-hoe-vee-ah, never reported it to me, locked my debit card without notifying me and it took well over 3 weeks to get a new card.

I have, and it has taken anywhere from a few days, to a few weeks due to the fact they "forgot" to refund me. Glad you got your refund in a timely manner.

That's why I check my account every morning so I can check for fraud and activity. DOnt rely on the bank to spot it for you.

I check my account like 83457345782398579348252635739457389568923582905791 2 times a day...lmao...Can never be to sure. and I have a bad habit of not putting my license or debit/credit card back into my wallet after I use it. I just put it in my purse. Bad bad bad not safe habit!!! I hate it!
