If you really want one that is auto, they make them but getting your hands on one ain't easy. What would the point of a full auto handgun anyways?

Whats the 'point' of anything full auto? Have you ever tried to shot something like an AR as fast as it will go? It's not easy and your accuracy goes down the pot.

To even think of my 1911 being full auto makes my face hurt!!

But to answer your question as others already have, no its not legal in any US state. (That I know of at least)

Yes, there is a full automatic glock...you can view it on youtube. Like they said though, it is highly illegal to have one.

The 18 is full auto which really isn't anything but a full auto 17. They're illegal everywhere and trying to make yours full auto is also very illegal, even trying it is illegal. And Kerndog, a full auto rifle actually isn't as hard to shoot as trying to shoot a semi really fast.

No it is a license to own automatic weapons amongst other items ( read explosives/silencers).

This is true but not too many people are a dealer so this really doesn't apply in most cases, including this one.

You don't have to be a dealer, there are many variations of the class 3, and diffrent types of licenses. Though the fact that the gov't can come to where every you keep said items and inspect at any time (24/7/365) and if they deem it unfit take your shit.

Owning fully automatic weapons really isnt that hard. You fill out your tax stamp paperwork and send it off just like owning a suppressor. You have to get a local sherrifs official to sign off and have a class 3 dealer do some stuff for you. Its not that hard.

Now being in possession of a class 3 weapon without the proper liscense is a big no no. Punishable by upwards of 10yrs in federal prison. In some cases even higher. Or you can join the military and play with full auto stuff all day.

To answer the question of why own a full auto anything. Its not always about one shot one kill scenarios. The best way to advance on an enemy position is with fire superiority. If the enemy cant pick his head up long enough to see where your at or to shoot at you it makes it hella easier to sneak up on him and shoot him yourself. Thats why the SAW or squad automatic weapon aka M249 is the most casualty producing weapon on the battlefield. There is nothing like 6-700rpm of 5.56 ammo to pin down the heads of a bad guy. The most experienced member of any fire team besides the team leader is and should always be your saw gunner. You can setup a support by fire position with your saw gunner. Suppress the enemy, pick up the rest of your entire team minus an AG if you have one, and literally flank an enemy without them even knowing. People tend to get mad scared when you unleash the saw on em. Hell you should hear the pig (M240 - 7.62 machine gun) they poop themselves. You dont even have to unleash the ma deuce (m2-50 cal machine gun) sometimes i get a little seapage in the pants when i play with her. she scares me!

A class 3 weapons license is only a pile of paperwork, a background check where they probe you so deep up your a$$ you gag, and paying a bunch of fees and taxes...it has nothing to do with being a gun dealer.

Unless you have a few platinum albums hanging on the wall you will spend up to 10 years in prison for possession of a class 3 weapon without a license. Nobody can own or possess the receiver or sear or any component to make a weapon full auto either unless they own a registered machine gun. Then not paying the required taxes for owning it is a worse punishment than having the weapon itself lol! A $100,000 fine for an individual or $500,000 for a company.

i have a friend with a mac 10 before 86, i had to check that out for him. honestly a fully auto glock would be pointless IMO, i have a glock 23 and trust me if i had fully auto i would want it bigger that a handgun for recoil and accuracy purposes.
