OK, I just found out the compression on my motor are super low.
Piston 1: 60psi.. My boi pours a tea Sp. of oil and it shoots to 90-100ish psi.

Motor Specs:
LS/Vtec
Je/SRP 81.25 10:0:1

No bent valves cause the Compression went up when I poured oil I in theCylinder
Now my boi tells me to RE-ring NOT Rebuilt the motor. Now im not trying to be cheap but I just cant have my car down any longer.

RE-ringing the pistons without taking apart the engine.. Has anyone ever tried this?

to re-ring the pistons you have to take them out of the block so you are going to have to disassemble the engine. Has the engine been sitting?

Yes the motor has been sitting for about 7-8 months now..

the pistons have to come out from the top of the block. so either way u go the motor will have to be disassembled.

If you have a valve(s) not sealing, putting oil in the cylinder will raise the compression.

ive never had to happen. ive done lots of wet test and never had 1 show that was valves.

What was your ring gap? All this is bullshit talk unless you know what your ringap is.

If its smoking or has low compression, my .02 is you prob used JE Pistons which their rings seem to be extremely loose IE blow by. Need more info, block machined or not? out of round? what were all your measurements
