So i was driving home on Saturday when my car just turned on me, so once i got it towed home i started checking everything. I had spark and and fuel so i went to the compression test and there lied the problem. Cylinders 3 & 4 and 25 psi so i didn't even go any further. I had happened to know someone with a front clip form an Accord Sir and I bought the H23A DOHC Vtec motor from him. I cant wait to put this engine in my car. I will post pick tonight of the process

The powerband is completely different...it was in a eg hatch tho. I went from h22a to h23a. First gear broke loose in vtec everytime. Its alot more torqy.

i would...and a nice upgraded clutch. get a hondats IM gasket. They come with a nice factory port on the intake side. keep it breathing good and you will be happy as hell. Also this motor loves a 3" exhaust. Get a tune as well. Should be just above 200 whp with that.

yea i know but the only problem i have is that i need my car to commute to school and work so i dont have the time to wait on those parts. i have a HKS super drager exhaust with some knock off header that came with the car, and an AEM v2. i want to replace my header but im not sure what to go with

Kidd makes a great header but thats only if you wanna notch your crossmember(which i doubt)

no i think ill pass on that lol. does the hondata gasket make that much of a difference and what are you using to tune your car?

It was my old car...Scotty tuned on chrome pro. IM gasket just keeps the IM a few degrees cooler and optimizes that factory port that wasn't there on the h22.

what port are you referring to?

on the intake side of the head. Its the same head as the h22a but honda put a factory porting on the openings to where the intae valves are. They basically opened up the head a little more than the h22a
