Purpose of this thread: To establish a time line of my project for personal use, and for you all to watch, if you want that is ;) I bought the car 9.26.05, i will start "Week 1" as the first week of August, for the sake of being easy on my brain. In this original post, i will always have an updated picture with links below to posts where I have added somthing to the car. This original post will also contain an up to date sponser list, as i aquire them. The second post in this thread will be the start of the time line with the first mods I have done. Always check back, because i can go too much longer than a week or two with out ordering more parts :) Now that i have said where i want this thread to go, feel free to state ur opinions, susgestions, keep them intelligent and constructive :) thanks.

week 3 i added a spankin new Active Autowerke Gen3 (http://www.bimmerperformancestore.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=50&idproduct=355) Catback exhuast.

Also, I yanked out the gauge cluster and rebuilt it with REAL carbon fiber bezel, chrome rings and titianum color faces that light up to match factory lighting (no rice :) )

Well this week goes on the Ground Control Track Plus (http://www.bimmerperformancestore.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=56&idproduct=692) Fully adjustable coilovers with GC Rear Shock Mounts. Man do I love these things, they ride GREAT. I also belive it improved the overall look of the car.

Spring Rates: 440 Front with 550 Rear :) STIFF :)

I think a fully polished wheel would look ultra sharp on it. I don't think black would look as good as if it were on a black M3. That's just my opinion, of course. Like I said before, awesome job on the car, thus far. I'm proud.

are u kidding... kosies (sp?) come in at like 18.5 lbs for 17s and thats a light wheel. there is plenty of Ms running these wheels.. inless u wana sponser me for some BBS wheels, then i will stick to ASA and similar prices ;) ohh, ASA is made by BBS :) this isnt my old accord, M3s have more than enough brakes to spare for 2lbs more of wheels lol.... im keeping weight into consideration, but, I cant drop 4 grand on wheels, sorry.

But you only having 120+ tq, and Danny having 230+tq... I'm sure he's not as worried about the wheel weight. lol. Just like my car. With my Accord, I was worried about weight. With my CL, not nearly as worried about weight. I have twice the torque.

my buddy brett just got done turbocharging his 325 with an M swap in it... makes a pretty nice ~400whp @8psi and plenty of torque to match :). i really need to get some pictures from him.

260hp 232tq. Wheel weight won't matter when I get the CompTech Super Charger with High Boost Pully. :D

might have been matt, form bimmerforums, there was a group planning to run out there last night. he drives an SCd silver e36 m3. he should be at least mid to low 13s i belive. there was a alpine M3 e36 with bolt ons running 14.1. but either way, these arnt 1/4 mile cars, so dont expect them to be fast in a straight line, on the track how ever, thats another story ;) lol

Car update:

New exhuast is on, its a B&B Triflow cat back system. I like it a little better, might buy another one next month, we will see.

Today consisted of washing, claying, and wax the car for right under 6 hours!! :) fun stuff. but man, is this paint the smoothest paint you could ever get. Its BLING BLING :) i love it, worth every hour. Even Brett would be proud.

thats the LOW boost setting, high boost... well.. i will let him make some money with it before i post to much more ;)

Those are Fikse FM5's. About 16-17 lbs. a piece. I love 'em if you're looking for lightweight wheels with a good look and nice deep lip.

yes turbo is better that an SC. But the sc is so much more simple, and a perfectly reliable. so if i have another car somehow next year then i will get a turbo. But yes, i have ridden in a 500WHP e36 M3, now that was just sick.

Nah, crank. With the high boost pully, and Hope intercooler, I'm looking at close to 390 whp and close to 380 wtq. If I save it for the 6speed CL, then I'm looking at even more.

thanks bro! its removeable easily if you know what ur doing. but not easy for people to steal. lol... i tried to keep weight down, i belive its in the 50-60lb range which i think isnt bad for a system.. it hits hard enough for me.. and the MB Quart components make ALLL the difference in the world..

Well tonight, FINALLY i got the parts i needed to rebuild this coilover strut. Went easy as cake... :D The following are some shots of the process. Pretty much all of them are after I removed the coilover and rebuilt it. Comments welcome as usual.

The first three photos are just shots of the car up on stands with the suspension apart and the coilover removed. You can see the rebuilt one laying next to the car.

The 4th photo is the rebuilt coilover, then the 5th photo is that same coilover about 2 minutes later with all the goodies bolted up to her. :D

Update on Parts ordered

I recived my splitter yesterday, its the wrong material. so i ordered another one and this company will buy this one back from me.. arghh.. now i dont have a splitter for the car show saturday :(

from the factory i belive they wernt tigheten to spec, thus they basically commitied suicide from slamming them selves around soo much... took me 6 months to get a fricking replacment.. they sent me two, so i have a spare now at least :D but when i took it out, there was no oil left and the top of the strut was cracked open ...lol.. crazy POS.. lol

what kinda coilovers do u have. true adjustable coilovers i assume, not sleves right ;) ??

no dyno, yet. stock is 245whp. i should be about 35hp above that. i will dyno it right befor i go FI.

i am a turbo fan. but Kits start at 8,000-11,000$. so i will likly build my own, and have someone tune it. not sure yet.. even good custom kits are 6-7000$ and thats with me doing all the labor.

yes that crossed my mind, and i think it looks ok. But personally i would probably slightly desaturate it rather than completly desaturate it. I think it needs to have color, because i say so :D thx
