Traded My 240 for a ....

2002 Audi a4 3.0L. I traded my old 1996 Nissan 240sx with a sr20det swap
for this. It was a straight up trade. Unfortunately, the audi is a automatic
but great for a DD. Exterior is in great condition as well as the interior.
What would you have done? Kept the 240 or trade for the Audi? Audi
has 113,xxxmiles and 240sx had around 100k. Both had clean titles.
The 240sx needed a paint job. (faded hood, roof, and trunk.) Audi needs
nothing.

but i would have kept the 240.I had offers for 6k but didn't really wanna sell it as it's my only car. I really wanted trades. I think I got a better deal considering I got the 240 for dirt cheap. And plus I like having ac and radio in the Audi.
I also would have to repaint the 240 and I don't wanna bother with emissions every year. It's a pain in the ass.

Personally i would have kept the 240...Ehh... I would of if it didn't need paint. And emissions are a PITA.

i woulda kept the 240...2 reasons, audis an automatic and its fwd..but thats just cause i would never buy an automatic car even if it means im shifting gears in gridlock traffic id still rather have the 5 or 6 spd tranny and fwd i HATE working on cause you basicly have to pull the motor out to get to anything ...just my two cents though but it doesn't matter what we all think here as long as your happy with you trade..audi is nice tho

That didn't make not one lick of sense, as far as the working on them part goes. There's some RWD cars that you can't do much for other than changing the oil on and your old 300Z's and J30's come to mind. come to think of it, most of the RWD Nissans wasn't all that great to work on. The Q45 is another example. The 240 was a car that unfortunately, filled a void between having a 2 door sentra or a 300z in the states. They stuck a truck motor in it and sent it out. Alot of FWD cars are actually easier to work on than some of the RWD cars.

The audi was a great compromise. You no longer blend in :goodjob:
