there are two different ones. Try the older one first then the one made in 1997.

Initial D is my favorite import movie recommended thus far. The voice overs are funny too but not annoying to me atleast.

For a low budget movie its ok, but the acting isn't great and gets old, and the cars are so ridiculously over-the-top in their mods, much like the 1st The Fast And The Furious. Just an ok movie to watch when you want to see some street racing, and are sick of looking at F&F movies.
