maybe if you turbo it. im not 100% sure but i believe DSM turbo manifolds will bolt up to f series get a big 16G and use the dsm injectors.....could be a cheap alternative for you.i mean i dont see that motor combo putting much more than 170 down if your lucky to get that much. i still think that all motor it will still be weak-sauce.

There are a few problems with this combo.

1 - H23 pistons are 87mm and F22 block is 85mm.

2 - With the combo you have the pistons will stick out the top of the cylinder .022" and the stock headgasket is only .026". That is a little too close.

It looks like you are using F23 head, F23 crank and rods then why not just use an entire F23 motor. Also, the Vtec on the F23 is a little different then other single cams.

I would use the f22 head rather than the f23. There isn't much aftermarket support for that head.

Boost would just be easier. Go with a F23 motor of F22... No need to go Franky.

Both motors can hold some solid numbers with the right turbo and tune.

thanks, i havent built a f/h b4 and the only reason i was thinking bout it is because i just have these parts laying aroundin in great conditiong. the reason i dont use the whole f23 is because i only have these parts. next question can i just slap the f22 vtec head on it, because my non vtec head is bad, if so is this like lsv or is this as simiple as putting a head on? can the f23 crank and rods and pistions work? is that going to be too high comp for turbo later?

I say get yourself some flywheel bolts, make a custom adaptor with a chain attatched to it, bolt said adaptor to the crankshaft.......and use it as a boat anchor.

Fixed.
After my car is put back together, I still want to run you.

OP, I made 300+ with a BONE STOCK F22A1 turbo'd at 13psi. ARP the heck out of it, maybe some bisi rods and pistons for good measure and ride out. The only reason my motor blew up was because I was messing around with my EBC and ran 18psi on accident.

If you need a non V F head, I have an F22B2 head I'll sell you for the low.

F series arn't great for all motor, unless you do an extreme build (Bisimoto, F22A1. 9.6@150 1/4). the A1 is also great for boost. It's one of, if not the best, flowing heads that Honda makes and it's stock compression is 8.8:1, so you can run 12psi daily, beat the heck out of it, and still have a reliable car. Of course, the right tune and fuel supply are needed. I was using an MSD Boost timing master and Aquamist MF-2 Injector controller along with an AEM Uego Wideband to keep everything in check when my car went down. Now I'll be using Greddy Emanage Ultimate and the AEM Uego.

If you need any advice, i'll do my best to help out.
