Your opinions are your opinions. Music changes constantly and will never stay the same. If it sucks so bad...how are these guys so damn big? Either way, I like Wayne and always have. Not all of his songs have meaning, but neither did some of the groups who even started rap way back in the day. Also, pretty sure he wont be put in too bad of a place in that jail...hell look at how long it took them to get his ass in there. Im sure his ass will come up with some way to record some shit while hes in there too.

I think some people saying all the new rap sucks only listen to that station. Almost every time im down there I turn on 95.5 just to see whats playing and it seems like the same shit over and over and over. Some of the artists on there have WAY better songs than whats on the radio.

He and Gucci both will come out back on top, just like T.I. did.
I'm not too big of a T.I. fan, and half the shit Gucci talks about I have to listen to the song a few times before I catch on (seeing as to I wasn't raised around that type of slang, drugs, and that lifestyle). But Lil Wayne I like because I can understand majority of what he talks about. I mean the all mostly rap about life, they have some popular songs and some WTF songs just like all artists. I listen to rap, but I'm not elated about it because I listen to almost all genre's.

His mixtapes and his music are both actually very popular. He debuted at number 10 on the Billboard music charts with his State vs. Radric Davis CD just released in December. He's been doing pretty good considering he had a lot of mixtapes & underground solo singles to prelude this CD.

Lolol. He is only really popular in clubs and in rural areas of the South. He peaked at number 10, but only a month later was all the way down to number 40. Lolol.

Highly doubt it. He's more than likely gonna be in isolation to keep him "safe" since he is a high profile person. Wayne's a good artist and works really hard to come out with a lot of stuff but damn if he doesnt get played out sometimes. As far as Gucci goes he has become a lot more popular throughout the past 2 years mainly because he focused more on catchy songs rather than all the "gangsta" rap he used to do.

Rap is ever changing, like cars. I don't particularly care for the new stuff. Half of it is dance garbage and the other half is some dude sounding like he's drunk or retarded, slurring out some shit you basically can't understand unless you grew up ignorant.
To me, Popular Rap music promotes a culture where it's ok to be stupid, sound stupid, walk stupid and talk stupid as long as you making money. "A meeellion here, a meeellion there....a dumbass motherfucker who makes millions getting busted for some dumbass childish ass shit that he knew damm well he shouldn't be doing".
As for Gucci....Are you serious? Coming back out on top? His raps could be made by ANY one of you or any 6th grade student who is currently failing english. His career can be summmed up by the writing onthe wall. There was someone who spray painted "Free my ***** Gucci" on a retaining wall along I20....the next day, they had painted over it as if it had never been there. Welcome to Real Life Gucci. Possession of a firearm while on probation and carrying marijuana.....a year in jail right when you are up and coming...fucking retard.
Just like T.I., Young Jeezy and all them other dumbasses that make wads of cash but still feel they got to do dumb shit. Rap is viewed as crap by alot of people simply for the idiots that do the rapping.

I used to be a huge Wayne fan, still like him but not as much as I did. He does get played out too much now, even his songs I like still get played out. They pretty much all sound the same now with a few exceptions. BUT, with that being said, regular "rap" radio stations will be pretty damn boring for the next year without him. Just like when TI began his year off, radio became a lot more boring without him on a good bit of songs.

Troof. His lyrics are about the same as they always have been, they're just normally sung or autotuned now. His voice was the best on Birdmans "neck of the woods" and in destiny child's "soldier" IMO.

I have some wayne on my computer, it is OK at best, but that is in my opinion. I feel like he always acts like he is way more strung out then he really is and that shit gets annoying.
Also, his fucking rhymes are so dumb. People think he is the most clever person ever and I don't know why. Most third grades could understand his shit. Everyone thinks they're so good because they can understand everything he is saying.
I am not really down with the whole mixtape thing too. "Lil Weezy" had a big part in this movement. Music should not be free. I enjoy going out and spending money on a CD that with support the artist(but mostly the industry).
Rap is ever-changing, I understand that. It is way different than what it used to be 10-20 years ago. Some people like all this new shit, but I am stuck on the old tried and true shit myself. I am poppin the Twista's Adrenaline Rush in my stereo right now lol.

Never been a huge fan of wayne. Although I did enjoy a couple tracks off the "No Ceilings" album. I've heard a few people say he has got some stuff recorded that will later be released so it will be like he hasn't gone anywhere. I just hate how he takes another song that someone else done and throw a couple raps in them making everyone think he created the best song ever. Like, the "Good Night" track.. All he did was take the song from the Black Eyed Peas and threw a couple raps in it. I don't consider that being him an artist.

People know that he didnt make "Good Night". Id say the Black Eyed Peas are about as damn popular as Lil Wayne, so I dont see that being a confusion. Plus he kept the hook in there, haha. Wayne might as well have killed himself the day he thought he could play a guitar. I cant deny what he's done in the past, I would put him in the top ten of all time possibly if he hadn't went all gay on everyone the past couple years. Wayne is a radio slut and that's what little kids listen to, the radio. If he wasn't such an overkill on the radio he'd be an alright rapper. Radio kills any artist in any genre of music
