I am excited about my new purchase. I've only been talking about it for a couple of years now. I am looking to lower it just a little and put some wheels on it in the next month or so. Any suggestions??? I am also looking for a good forum (besides IA, lol) that I can learn more on. Any more G owners here. I am looking for some ideas? I LOVE alot of the Volk wheels but unfortunately I can't afford to spend $3000 on wheels/tires.... What do you guys/girls think?

Suspension, rims, strereo, and ride out. Looks very nice. I saw your teg for sale and I bet you're happy to move on to something new(not that there was anything wrong with you teg, just seemed a lil impractical for DD purposes).

I am jealous lol.

Congratulations on the purchase! If you can't afford a decent set of new wheels, look into buying used. If you can't find any or afford them, don't buy any at all and save for the ones you want. It will be much more rewarding.

Thanks, I am already enjoying it. I joined that site more than a week ago and it still says that I am awaiting activation. :???:

Oh please believe that I am ALL for buying USED wheels. As long as they are in good shape. I have a budget of no more than $1500 on wheels/tires. I am also looking out for another touch screen navi. I miss mines sooooooo much.

Well it might be that you haven't clicked the link in your e-mail to activate your account, I'm not really sure.

You can buy the OEM 19" Rays for around $1000 give or take a few hundred with tires. Those look pretty good especially when matched with some spacers.

Does yours come with Navi? The OEM navi SUCKS IMO. Hah.

g35driver.com or my35.com or g35frenzy.com all great forums with TONS of deals on parts/accessories for your g35. Helpful too! enjoy the G, they're pretty well made cars.

I have to disagree. Unless you track your car, brembo is just not worth the money. But they sure do look good.

there's a good local forum

www.mygfrenzy.com

I have a simple G35 myself so I can give some pointers here and there. And I agree, you don't need Volks. Been there, had them, sold them and went for Vellano wheels ;)

G35Frenzy has been converted to MyGFrenzy.com due to the 37 coming out. It is a very local board and they have regular meets every month. When I had my G everyone on there was extremely nice and helpful, but most of those people upgraded their rides.

quoted for truth. This is absolutely 100% correct. I had the factory brembos and had to replace pads every 20K miles and rotors every 40K miles. Considering the pads were about $200 for all 4 corners and a pair of nice rotors were almost $500/pair, it gets very pricey very quick.

Also, do not waste any money trying to make it faster unless you look into forced induction + engine build. With these cars, you don't get any respectable amount of power without taking out a 2nd mortgage on your house... I gained a whopping 15hp with full exhaust, test pipes, CAI and plenum. Price that out and it averages to about $140 per horse power. $2100 worth of parts got me to a whopping 240rwhp...joke was def. on me...

That being said, the car was extremely nice and though I never thought I would, I do miss it quite a bit.
