Also, since I really don't need a DD, I might look into a C63, GTR, or a 996 turbo. So many great cars out there under $60k, imo.

With a quick search, I found a silver, '09 GTR for $66k. I'm sure you could talk them down, too. Even so, they're probably selling a bit cheaper from a private party.

Sounds like he moved over so he didnt hit the truck neither lol. This happens sometimes when people tailgate, the car in front doesnt respond fast enough and moves over to avoid braking hard or hitting the car in front of them, then the guy behind him doesnt react fast enought then boom. That's another big reason why they have the 2 car length while following the car in front of you law lol.
