Alright people, every year for my girlfriends birthday, her parents take her out to a dinner of her choice. We are looking for some good suggestions for nice restaurants in Atlanta. We have done Melting Pot, Ruths Chris, Veni Vidi Vici, places like that. We have looked at the Buckhead Dining Group and Here 2 Serve Restaurants as well.

We are just looking for something different that you might recommend. Money does not really matter, so if anything comes to mind, post it up.

Not the most "extravagant" place, but I have never had a bad meal at Rays on the River.

Bones

Ate there with family a few times. They go there quite often. Too expensive for regular dates with me. Very good food as well.

Chima closed nearly a year ago.

My favorites are Canoe, some of the Star Provisions restaurants are really good as well (Bacchanalia), I love Eclipse Di Luna (not expensive but lively, fun and the food is good), Nikolai's Roof is pretty romantic, great views.

I've heard good things about Bones but haven't had the chance to try it.

Try the Cheesecake Factory in Buckhead. Great Desserts. Or if you like greek food, There is a restaraunt called Taverna Plaka. Excellent food, but is also loud when the belly dancers and dancing starts.

If money is really not an issue..

Hire, Wolfgang Puck or Emeril and have them cook a special meal at home..

Now, that would be dope.

This would be fucking epic. Ill run this by her dad lol.

Money isnt really an issue, her dad has plenty of it. I wasnt trying to boast or anything, just trying to get all of your opinions.

Thanks for the great recommendations from everyone. Ill show her the list when she gets home tonight and see what she thinks. Reps to all that I can.

Also, it does not have to be extravagant or upscale. We looked at Rays on the River. She has had Cheesecake Factory and Eclipse Di Luna. She likes to try new places every year. We have looked at Bones and Canoe as well. Im going to check out all the others that we have not seen.

Oh and Rob, nice recommendation, but its HER birthday not mine lol.

Ecco. oh my goodness it's so good and really beautiful inside. my boyfriend took me there on our first date. i got the saffron risotto with a meatball and he got the seared strip steak, sicilian-style, with tomato. both were ridiculously good.

Not yet, her dad said to let him know tomorrow night, so we are going to look at these places tomorrow and pick one. Her birthday isnt until March 18th, but she wanted a lot of recommendations.

Thanks again everyone.

Thanks again everyone. She decided on Capital Grille. Her parents were going to go there before but something happened and they couldnt, so they thought it was the perfect idea.
