% Window Tint

Either getting it done this weekend or next, but want to see what the consensus of the % window tint I should get on the J30.

20% is the perfect tint for me.. its high enough to not attract attention (1 warning in 3 years with 9 pullovers) and low enough to be nice and dark on the inside

While 20% looks good, more and more cops are getting a better eye for it and handing out tickets. I have 35% on mine because it still looks pretty good and is hassle-free. I think having different levels for the front and back looks stupid and uneven.

right now i am thinking 20% for the back doors and rear glass and 25% for front doors

Just get 35% all around (windshield included). It's "legal" but with the windshield being tinted, it looks darker

I've got 20% on all sides and back and 35% on the windshield of the Audi. Black interior FTW.

I have 15% with dark gray interior and I've never had a problem. In fact, I've had 15% on my last few cars.

Stay legal around , or go dark as hell.

Ive been pulled over twice EVER owning all my cars with 10 percent. Warning each time.

35% all the way around minus the windshield. Looks good and keeps cops off of your ass. The place in Stockbridge I went to did mine for $150 and did an excellent job.

i had 2.5 on the back window of the del sol and 20% all around...except the windshield...never got a ticket even when they wrongfully had the K9 unit search my car for illegal narcotics(didn't find any)

JK lol, the darkest I've ever had was 2.5% all the way around... It lasted 3 days before I got pulled over and the state trooper said it was the darkest he had ever checked haha it said 2% on his little meter thing. It did suck though, ill never go darker than 20 ever again!:no:

haha so many decisions! im thinking of doing back glass 20 and the rest legal and get the front tinted some too. its just too clear right now. its either legal or whatever is in between 20 and legal.

20% all around. Any darker becomes a pain in the ass at night. Keep it even. You will be able to tell it's mixed up and it's going to bug the fuck out of you until you get it changed. Lol.

It is. It can only come down about 10 inches from the top or something like that. I remember the cop telling me the length of a dollar bill is the max

Well if you drive with your windows down all the time, go ahead and make it 20 otherwise just go legal. And you can always open up the sunroof for more light
