camera setup?

that post processing can look damn good sometimes like the old school green corolla, but some shots its sketch

D300 w/ 70-200mm f/2.8 @ Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8

I ca see how too much can be too much, for some of these, but I don't want mine to look like everyone else's. Till I find another way of makeing things look different, I kinda like the high contrast stuff for these kinda shots. If I did an actuall photo shoot of a car, I probably wouldn't edit it like this.

But thanks for the comments, as they help me with figuring out what people like.

What car has the green cage? That harness bar looks too high.

#2 I like alot.

I'm just sick of seeing those Drift Emporium cars....ever since I caught wind of them flying in a pro driver to drive their car in the SEDA Grassroots event, I LOL'd and lost all respect for em.

But thanks for the comments, as they help me with figuring out what people like. Are you attempting to develop your own style by photography or by post processing? Composition and proper camera settings should be first then editing. Granted all the shots other than the #6 black S14 are just about spot on for composition but then they're killed by the fake HDR look. It's like a relatively cute chick with too much makeup on but like CH@Dbee said, "sometimes less is more".

In your case you're trying to be different and set yourself apart by over exaggerating the post-processing, but that's the most common misconception...every girl that dyed their hair pink to look different now looks exactly the same as the next girl that did it. Where's the individuality in that?

*EDIT*
Whoa, most of the motorsports shots on your website are perfect and the portrait shots are just incredible. The shots posted here are way below that level or maybe just need post processing like the others!

Yea....exactly. I'm sure they are cool guys and all but honestly....it's a local event, don't be queer. OBVIOUSLY, they don't need the money since their rigs cost more than somes houses so why be jackasses and rob a local guy of some much needed cash to advance in a sport everyone that runs there loves. Just boggles the mind.

Last I remember, comps are open to anyone. Dennis was there, along with Angerman, Sammy, and Andy. Oh, Chanin too. All "pro" drivers. Come to think of it, all but 2 caged cars in the event were "pro" drivers......

Forrest is driving for them this year. They wanted him to come and test out their cars and Gresham. No harm in that. Also, Forrest is a "grassroots" driver since he had no sponsors when he ran D1.

ALSO, DE put up all the prize money for the Gresham event, so without them, there wouldn't have been a comp.

Point taken.

He ran in D1, he's pro. No way around that. If he is driving for them and he is entering professional level events in a sponsored car, that's pro.

Hmm, that wasn't the story I heard, but then again, rumors go wild around all scenes so who knows.

Still tired of seeing them :)

Lol I'm not hating on Keanu. He's a great driver, no doubt about it. Like I said, i'm sure the Drift Emporium guys are cool, no hating on them either.

I just am tired of seeing the cars around, I LOL'd at their flying a guy in to drive a local comp, but as Marty kindly showed me, there were other "Pro" drivers there and there was a valid and smart reason for them doing so, so I stand corrected on that point. I'm old enough, I can admit mistakes.

All is well in the Land of Cotton. :)
